Saturday 07 April Australia - Hanoi

Fly from Adelaide or Brisbane to Melbourne or Sydney with Virgin Blue or Qantas Airways and connect to Hanoi via Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Airlines. Your tour guide will meet you at the airport on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Sunday 08 April Hanoi Meal: B

Today is at leisure to soak up the atmosphere of this fantastic city, Hanoi! Vietnam’s capital city, boasts treelined streets, centuries-old temples, great shopping and French style cafes. Overnight in Hanoi.

Monday 09 April Hanoi - Halong Meal: B/L/D

Today you will visit the West Lake, Lake Hoan Kiem and the Temple of Literature before leaving for Halong Bay (170km), with a stop-over at the ceramic and hand embroidery workshops en route. Board your private boat for a cruise along Halong Bay (5 hours), a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1994. Visit some magical grottoes and relax in the best scenic beauty of Vietnam. A Seafood Lunch is served on board. Overnight in Halong.

Tuesday 10 April Halong - Hanoi Meal: B/L/D

Drive back to Hanoi, where you visit Ho Chi Minh’s Former Residence, the One-Pillared Pagoda, and Ethnology Museum. You also enjoy a Cyclo tour (1 hour) to the old quarters of Hanoi and local markets. This evening watch the famous Water Puppet Show (1st class seats). Overnight in Hanoi.

Wednesday 11 April Hanoi - Hue Meal: B/BD

This morning is at leisure, where you can explore more of the city at your own pace. This afternoon a transfer to Hanoi Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Hue, widely known for its magnificent monuments built under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 – 1945). Pick up and transfer to your hotel. A Buffet dinner served at your hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Thursday 12 April Hue - Danang - Hoi An Meal: B/L/D

This morning is highlighted with a visit to the Dong Ba Market, famous for its best conical hats in Vietnam, Thien Mu Pagoda and the Imperial Citadel, built in 1804 on a site chosen in accordance with geomancy. A performance of ancient dancing and court music, a world intangible heritage recognised by UNESCO in 2003, is presented in the citadel. This afternoon, the tour focuses on the tombs of King Tu Duc (ruled 1848 – 1883) and King Khai Dinh (ruled 1916 – 1925). The monuments, designed by the kings themselves, were also used as holiday retreats during their lifetime. Transfer to Danang (110km). Admire beautiful landscape on the road through the Hai Van Pass. Panoramic views of the clouds, the sea and the mountains around are unfolded at the scenic Lang Co lagoon. After arriving in Danang, visit the Cham Sculpture Museum, which boasts the finest collection of Cham sandstone sculptures in the world. Continue to Hoi An. After checking into your hotel, you are free to enjoy the magnificent beaches. This evening, enjoy a lively show of traditional dancing & music. Overnight in Hoi An.

Friday 13 April Hoi An Meal: B/L/D

This morning is at leisure. This afternoon your guide will take you to the Ancient Town for lunch and a city tour. Hoi An, so called a ‘living Museum City’ because of its well-kept original historical buildings and ancient backstreets. Visit one of the three city’s oldest homes, each built over 200 years ago and still occupied by descendants of the families that originally built them; then tour to the Chinese Assembly Hall followed by a traditional Hoi An Church and the unique Japanese Bridge. Overnight in Hoi An.

Saturday 14 April Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An Meal: B/L/D

This morning you are transferred to the Ruins of My Son to see Cham Holy See. Lunch and Dinner are at local restaurants. Overnight in Hoi An.

Sunday 15 April Hoi An Meal: B/D

Today is at leisure to explore more of Hoi An at your own pace, possibly to do shopping, get some tailor-made clothes or enjoy a rest on the beach. Dinner served at your hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

Monday 16 April Hoi An - Danang - Nha Trang Meal: B/L/D

Before leaving for Danang Airport, stop by the stone-carving village of Non Nuoc where a wide variety of articles is sculptured from marble and sandstone. Take a short flight to Nha Trang, Vietnam’s most charming coastal town with white sandy beaches, fascinating islands and year-round dry weather. Fly from Danang to Nha Trang. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Tuesday 17 April Nha Trang Meal: B/L/D

Transfer to Cau Da Jetty for a day cruise to Tam Islet and Mun Islet. The water is clear and the marine life is diverse for snorkelling and sunbathing. Optional activities include scuba diving, jet skiing, windsurfing and parasailing on Tam Islet. A Seafood Lunch is served on board. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Wednesday 18 April Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City Meal: B/L/D

A morning tour to the Po Nagar Towers, the Oceanography Institute and Long Son Pagoda. After lunch, board your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Thursday 19 April Ho Chi Minh City Meal: B/L/WD

A morning tour round Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon, featuring the History Museum, the Binh Tay Market in Chinatown, Thien Hau Temple and a lacquer workshop. This afternoon, head out to Cu Chi, 70km north of Saigon, famous for its 200-kilometre-long tunnels. A Western dinner served at your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Friday 20 April Excursion to Mekong Delta Meal: B/L/D

Enjoy a full-day excursion to My Tho, 75km south of Saigon, a peaceful town along the bank of the Mekong River. The tour comprises of a cruise on the Mekong River, a visit to the orchards and local homes, a sampan ride along palm-shaded creeks, a taste of seasonal fruit & honey tea and a performance of traditional southern singing. Lunch is a mix of Mekong specialties which is arranged. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Saturday 21 April Ho Chi Minh City - Australia Meal: B

Today is at leisure to explore this city at your own pace; late checkout till 6pm then transfer to the airport for your flight bound for Australia. Depart Ho Chi Minh City on Vietnam Airlines flight to Sydney or Melbourne and make a domestic connection to Adelaide or Brisbane only.

Sunday 22 April Australia – home port

Arrive in Sydney or Melbourne at 0930 and connect to Adelaide or Brisbane only. Passengers travelling to other ports will need to overnight in Sydney or Melbourne at their own expense.
