Today you travel by train or coach to Suzhou, a famed silk production centre and home to China’s most famous gardens. Suzhou’s gardens are works of art — a fusion of nature, architecture, poetry and painting. The key elements of these famous gardens are rocks and water. You will visit the Master of the Nets Garden where the main garden space is a lake surrounded by rockwork, halls, covered walkways and pavilions—one of the most charming and tranquil garden scenes in China. Later you will join a Canal Cruise to enjoy the bustling and unique canal scenery. You will also visit the famous Suzhou Museum (Impei Museum). Founded in 1960 and originally located in the national historic landmark, Zhong Wang Fu palace complex, Suzhou Museum has been a highly-regarded regional museum with a number of significant Chinese cultural relics.
