Day 1– Sunday 27 June 2010  Australia – Singapore

Today depart Australia on board Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore.  On arrival transfer by coach to your hotel where overnight accommodation has been arranged using the Singapore Stopover Holiday (SSH program).  Your package includes unlimited use of the Hop on Hop Off coach during your stay.

Day 2 – Monday 28 June 2010 Singapore – London

Today we return to Changi Airport for our overnight flight on Singapore Airlines to London.(In-flight Meals)

Day 3 – Tuesday 29 June 2010

On arrival we will be met and transferred to downtown London where accommodation has been arranged for the next two nights.  During your stay you may like to visit the famous West End, take a stroll through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, and visit Harrods for a shopping experience.

Day 4 – Wednesday 30 June 2010 London

At leisure to take in some sights or do some shopping on Regent Street and Oxford Street. You may wish to see one of the amazing shows in the West End.

Day 5 - Thursday 01 July 2010  London – Amsterdam

Meet your Tour Director at the Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury before heading to Europe. Cross the English Channel and continue through Belgium’s Flanders Fields, into Holland and on to Amsterdam. See the Royal Palace and Dam Square before enjoying a visit to a diamond-polishing factory to see the precious stones being cut and polished. The evening is spent in the Dutch countryside.

Day 6 – Friday 02 July 2010  Amsterdam – Rhineland

Travel to Germany we visit Cologne and see its Gothic Cathedral, before passing through Bonn and following the Rhine to join a Highlight Cruise along the most romantic stretch of the river.  Here, castles stand guard over vineyards and villages as they have done since the days of Charlemagne. Rejoin your coach and pass the legendary Lorelei Rock and Pfalz Castle before arriving at our hotel.

A beautiful drive across the border into Italy and the unique city of Venice. See St Marks Square and the Grand Canal and perhaps shop for some beautiful Venetian glass, lace or an amazing mask.

Day 10 – Tuesday 06 July 2010  Venice – Italian Lakes

Stop in Verona to see Juliet’s balcony and the first century Roman arena. Continue to your hotel in the Italian Lake District.

Day 11 – Wednesday 07 July 2010 Italian Lakes – Lucerne

Drive through the Swiss Alps, complete with snow-covered mountain peaks and flower-covered chalets to Lucerne. See the covered Chapel Bridge and the emotive Lion Monument before relaxing, shopping or joining a cable-car excursion to take in the mountain views.

Day 12 – Thursday 08 July 2010  Lucerne – Paris

Leave the mountains and tranquil lakes behind, cross the Rhine at Basel and travel into France. Skirt the Jura Mountains and drive past the vineyards of Burgundy en route to the capital, Paris.

A local guide will show you the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Place de la Concorde. Spend an afternoon at leisure to visit the Mona Lisa in the Louvre or to experience a Parisian cabaret.

Day 14 – Saturday 10 July 2010  Paris – London

Pass poignant reminders of World War One as you cross the River Somme en route to London, where your tour ends after a return English Channel crossing. (Breakfast)

Other touring components will fall due 60 days prior to departure.  Members may be given the opportunity to pay for their air tickets earlier in the event Earlybird offers represent an extra saving. The itinerary and prices listed are correct at time of going to print and are subject to variation and should be used as a guide only. The fully escorted tour price is based on a minimum group of 21. In the event the number is not reached Diploma reserves the right to recost the tour or operate the tour in Europe as fully escorted by a local representative of Insight Vacations.   Our tour is based on the European Essentials touring programme.  The Insight European Essentials Tours will stay in the best GC1 Inns and Guesthouses. GCI Inns and Guesthouses are described by the organisers as large, comfortable rooms for discerning guests with shower or bath/WC and a corner seating unit.  They are equipped with a minibar (or a range of drinks),colour TV, radio, direct dial telephone, internet access, hair-dryer and cosmetic articles.This package includes Category 2 seats for the Passion Play.

All services in Oberammergau are provided by a local agent.  All timings are approximate and subject to change.  Accommodation categories are based on the size and furnishngs of the rooms and not according to any star rating allocated by the German Hotel Classification system.  Therefore, separate rooms in one establishment may fall into different categories.  Categories were determined after an official inspection of the rooms.  The accommoation allocated may not necessarily be located in the Town of Oberammergau itself.

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellation charges for Tour & Air package on a per person basis:  All Oberammergau payments are non refundable unless the combined price of the tour and Oberammergau package increases by more than 20%.  Upon confirmation of the final tour prices, the terms and conditions published in Insight’s 2010 European Essentials brochures will apply.

PASSPORT & VISA:
All travelers must have at least 6 months validity left on the passport for their return flight to Australia. Diploma Travel will provide you with up to the minute information regarding your entry and visa requirements for this tour.

In some countries Australian passport holders may enter under a visa waiver program. However some of these countries may not permit entry under this program if you have a history of an arrest or conviction in Australia. It is your responsibility to disclose this information or any other information that may prevent you from entering any of the countries listed in this itinerary prior to you paying your deposit. If you fail to do this, and you are later denied permission to enter a country, full cancellation fees will apply as outlined above.
